Once you have decided to live at St David’s we will discuss your special needs. We will also ask you how you would like your room decorated and if you would like to bring any special items of furniture.
One of our nurses will be dedicated to taking on the special responsibility for overseeing your medical and care needs and developing an individual plan of care to meet all of your requirements. This will be updated regularly and discussed with you and a family member if you so wish.
When you arrive we will try our best to help you to settle in. You are now part of our family at St David’s and we want to make sure that you are happy and living life to the full. Of course we will always remember that as an individual you will want to live it your way too.
It’s your home so invite your friends and relatives to come and visit as often as you like.
The chef will visit you to introduce himself and ask about any special dietary needs that you may have, as well as the type of dishes that you would like to see on the menu.
You will find many activities organised for you, both inside and outside the Home, including visits for shopping and sightseeing should you wish. Exercise sessions are held at least three times a week and there are a number of clubs, including the ever popular film matinee on Fridays.
We also arrange other services such as physiotherapy, chiropody, reflexology, aromatherapy and hair-dressing.
